Welcome to the latest developments from Garage Hive. As we continue our mission to provide solutions for the automotive industry, we’re excited to share some recent updates and features we’ve introduced. Our team has been working hard, listening to your feedback and striving to enhance the user experience. Here’s a roundup of what’s new:

Service Advisor Operations

We have added a column displaying the number of scheduled allocations currently in progress or pending. This feature enables users to identify Jobsheets with multiple ongoing tasks easily, read more.

Added actionable stacked error messages when posting a Jobsheet, minimising the number of clicks required before successfully posting it.

We added a slider to the schedule header called Fully Booked, which, when enabled, prevents new allocations and greys out the diary, read more.

Added the Add Related Documents action to the emailing feature, allowing selection of attachments from other documents when emailing a document.

Added Posting Preview to Jobsheets and Return Jobsheets, enabling the user to preview the process of posting the document before posting it.

Finance and Accountancy

Added support for multi-location businesses using Sage Accounting.
Added barcode column to import feature for catalogue items with prices, read more.

Added limitations and restrictions for the Change Accountancy Setup slider in the user card. If a user’s Change Accountancy Setup slider is enabled, they can change:

Inventory Management

Created the Calculated Availability field for Line Checker to show a warning triangle when the calculation of the quantity in the sum below is less than zero.

= “Qty. in stock” – “Qty. in Unposted Jobsheets” – “Qty. in Unposted Sales Docs.” + “Qty in Unposted Sales Credit Memo” + Qty. in Unposted Return Jobs”

Customer Management

We have added the ability to send customers questions before their visit to collect more information about the job in advance, read more.

Vehicle Management

Improved the Autodata Timing Belt Lookup feature, read more.

Added the Search Vehicle By Engine Code (Autodata) feature in the documents (Jobsheet, Service Estimate, and Vehicle Inspection Estimates), read more.

Technician Operations

Added the Resources check before the error page when posting the Jobsheet.

Added the “Attention” and “Print on Document” action tick boxes to the technician view on a phone in the comments page. This enables the technician to mark the comment for attention or to be printed on the document.

Purchasing

Added AAG (Alliance Automotive Group) integration which allows the user to link Garage Hive to the AAG Parts 360 website, and directly place an order for the parts that are needed and transfer them to the Garage Hive system.

Added the ability to create Purchase Orders from estimates and VI estimates, similar to how it is set up in the Jobsheet using the Purchase(Special) column.
